Carol Ward, a local franchise consultant, works with people who want to explore becoming business owners as their primary full-time career or on a part-time basis while they keep their job. Carol coaches business seekers through a proven process of finding franchise businesses that match their goals, lifestyle, experience, skills, flexibility needs and budget. Then she helps them each step of the way to reach a decision point.
As a 4th generation entrepreneur, her business matching expertise is grounded in her personal quest to find freedom and an upside after 25 years in the corporate world where she led public relations and marketing efforts at companies ranging from a Fortune 500 company to an executive compensation consulting firm. Initially, she met her goal by launching and operating her own PR business that she ran for more than 6 years. Later, she discovered her true passion by helping people find businesses via franchise ownership. Little did she know that FranNet would also help her achieve her personal goal, set 15 years prior, of helping people who have been laid off.
Back in 2013, Carol joined FranNet's corporate headquarters where she worked with 1000s of franchise candidates to get them started in the FranNet process. Carol is humbled to know that more than 50 are now franchise owners. In addition, she had the opportunity to vet and validate franchisors for FranNet, providing hands-on experience she uses to help lead clients through the process themselves.
Her family moved to Birmingham, Michigan as part of the Detroit area's resurgence, specifically for her husband's position at The Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village. She spends most of her free time watching her son's ice hockey games and occasionally visiting her other son who serves proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps. She also enjoys antiquing, attending festivals and walking along the sugar sand beaches in Pure Michigan.
"I first met Mark Cory of FranNet three years ago at a networking meeting. I was still employed in the corporate world, but was intrigued by Mark's presentation on alternatives to the corporate rat race. This was the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship in business and as friends. I found Mark to be highly professional and very knowledgeable. He took the time to work with my wife and me, and to help us uncover new opportunities in business ownership. It was through Mark's efforts that I have found my new calling and great opportunity as Michigan area developer for Expense Reduction Analysts. I thank him heartily and would recommend him to others who are looking to invest in themselves and build a new future in franchise business ownership!"
